Playing “Gefilte Fish” improves Hebrew letter recognition through a fun and enjoyable experience, that players will want to repeat. The game contains cards of Hebrew letters including final letters and a “gefilte-fish” as the wild card –to spice things up. The object of the game is to form pairs of the same letter. In their turn players ask one another for the letter they need in order to complete a pair. Special rules apply to final letter cards and the wild “gefilte-fish”card. Designed to suit different levels enabling beginners to participate. As well as a higher level game. Game is recommended for ages 7 and up. However, rules for a simplified game for children as young as 5 are also included. The game can be played in class as part of a Hebrew lesson, or at home. It is a great way to maintain Hebrew skills during breaks from school.
